For this week’s newsletter, we’re going with a recorded interview with the great Nikie Monteleone! Nikie is a well-established and highly respected artist in our field and I was thrilled to get the opportunity to pick her brain.
In our conversation, I ask her to expand on her Twitter thread focused on her 10 big takeaways after attending this year’s Game Developer’s Conference (GDC) and performing a ton of portfolio reviews.
This is just a little experiment. If you like these, let me know and I’ll do more of these in the future. If you don’t, also let me know and I’ll knock it off.
If you want me to expand this, I can actually build a legit title card, improve the video, and never record myself with a wobbly laptop on my lap :)
Enjoy!
***Note - No Newsletter next week. I’ll be surfing in Kauai baaaaaaaaaabbbbyyyyy!

This is exactly what I needed!! Thank you for going into details and pls keep making such collab videos...it's really helpful.
This interview was really insightful, especially from seasoned professionals in the industry. Nikie's elaborations on her tips were great, and I also found the back and forth discussion between you both very engaging. Thanks for doing this and hope to see more of these interview videos!
